The AYKO Symposium highlights the role of Africa’s creative industries in driving economic growth and fostering global influence. Held in Lagos under the theme “Creative Minds. Business Solutions,” the event featured workshops on digital marketing, leadership, technology, and finance, along with a compelling fireside talk.

Omoyemi Akerele, founder of Lagos Fashion Week, delivered the keynote address, inspiring attendees with her vision of African creativity as a force for transformation. Other speakers included Emma Collings, Head of Marketing at a UK FTSE100 company; Kola Oshalusi, CEO of Insigna Media; Ayoola Gbolahan, a renowned Nigerian artist; and Vanessa Azar, Regional Area Manager at Fenty Beauty Sub-Sahara.

The symposium, supported by Expose and Wema Bank, provided participants with practical tools, actionable strategies, and valuable connections. AYKO remains dedicated to empowering African creatives and driving meaningful change across the continent’s creative economy.
